Americana

(Top: For Sale at KooKooKachoo Vintage, Skirt: American Apparel, Shoes: Urban Outfitters)

As you can see, I've been recently inspired by the ocean and the sea. Just the nautical look of things. Simple stripes and neutrals. My favorite place to go is the ocean, and this time of year I start to really miss it. So I might as well dress like I'm going right?! ;) My simple solution to transform an ordinary button up to a cute summer top, is to tie it in the front! It's perfect for high waisted short and skirts like this.

I've updated my shop recently, and reduced my prices! Check out and find something you love!

Only You Know

(Dress: Urban Outfitters, Boots/Bag/Scarf: Vintage)

I wore this outfit in one of the videos I did for Seventeen magazine, as an outfit for spring/summer for under $50! You can see the video HERE! So this outfit was under $50, the dress was the main chunk of the costs but it just goes to show how you can get cute accessories at thrift stores for cheap! My favorite way to accessorize quickly is with vintage scarves. I love how subtle they can be but they just add the perfect touch, especially since I'm not one to wear necklaces all the time. Scarves are a great alternative, and they aren't too bulky for the warmer weather :)

Happy Memorial Day everyone! A big shout out and thank you to the heroes that serve and have served us! <3

Also, adding new stuff to my shop!

NEW IN STORE!

I've got a couple of camo jackets for sale too!

I've recently added many amazing vintage pieces to my shop!
I'm absolutely in love with this jean jacket, the details are so cool and a little bit grunge. I will be adding LOTS more this upcoming week as well! (I think I will be changing the name of my store too and possibly have a giveaway! So stay posted!)

Stay Neutral

(Top: For Sale at KooKooKachoo Vintage, Skirt: American Apparel, Clutch: Vintage)

I LOVE WEARING NEUTRALS! Always have and always will. Sometimes I think I should branch out and wear some more bright colors, but neutrals are just comfortable and beautiful to me. Isn't this bag the cutest thing ever?! I got it a year or so ago while I was thrifting and I was obsessed with the atlas print! It came with an entire matching luggage set too! (which is also for sale in my shop!)

This beautiful top is for sale in my shop too!

House by the Sea

(Hat: Vintage, Top: Thrifted, Pants: c/o Articles of Society Denim, Boots: Free People)

I absolutely love printed pants! I think majority of my pants are either striped or floral. They're just so funky and fun to wear and add a lot of personality to an outfit. These pants have a little bit of a nautical feel to them, which makes me love them even more. And this top...got it at a thrift store!! I don't think I will ever stop thrifting :)

Hope you all had a great weekend! I will be adding new stuff to my vintage shop so make sure and check it out!

Cut it Out

(Dress: Urban Outfitters, Bag: FOR SALE at KooKooKachoo Vintage, Sandals: Vintage, Jewelry: Vintage and such)

I never really realized how seldom I wear maxi dresses, but after purchasing this one I think I am definitely hooked! This dress is so comfortable, I could sleep in it. It's perfect just to throw on whether I am going out with friends or just hanging out. I have a thing for cut outs too, so I think that is another big reason why I never want to take this dress off. Maybe I should get the other color too... It's on sale!! Might as well right? ;)
I'm so sorry for taking an unintentional break from blogging recently! Certain weeks just get busier than others, so thank you guys for understanding and sticking it out with me!! You guys keep me going!

This beautiful market bag is for sale in my shop with lots of other great vintage too!

Update

It's been another busy week for me! I kind of took the week off and just had some fun...I think it's important to take a break sometimes. But I am sorry for the lack of outfit posts! I was doing so good the week before!
I am so excited to be featured again in the May issue of Seventeen Magazine as part of the 2013 Style Council! Make sure and grab yourself the issue...I'm on page 51! Also, check out the videos I've done for the Style Council as well, they're on the Seventeen website! (link HERE

You can never go wrong with paisley print! I love this dress from BooHoo

Wanting to take photos, but was delayed because of the rain.

I found the most beautiful vintage top while thrifting the other day. I can't wait to wear this bad boy out!

I recently saw El Ten Eleven and Bonobo at the Chrystal Ballroom and it was AMAZING! El Ten Eleven even signed my album!!

At work, wearing head to toe Free People as usual ;)

Posing again at work. I LOVE MY JOB! <3

Recently acquired these beauties courtesy of The Horse and Here Comes the Sun!

And as always, my vintage shop (KooKooKachoo Vintage) has so many cute items for all seasons! Nothing screams Spring more than a mint button up!
