It Takes Time

I definitely feel like this outfit screams Northwest. The neutral colors, the textures, and of course the Poler beanie. I wanted to dress up the outfit a little, which is why I paired my clogs and polka dot tights with everything. Sweater dresses are the perfect winter piece to have. They're so cozy but are still stylish. The heathered look of this dress makes me love it even more too.

Washed Away

This weekend, my boyfriend and I took a day trip to Pacific City which is a little town on the Coast of Oregon. It's not too far of a drive from Portland and it is definitely one of the most breathtaking places I've ever been. There are beautiful rocks and hills of sand to explore that are incredible and have amazing views of the sea.
I couldn't help but bring out a bit of my inner hippie and pose with my vintage crochet blanket.
I felt like a land mermaid dancing around at the edge of the rocks. This blouse from Free People was definitely the other perfect accessory for my bohemian get up, especially because I felt like I was inside of a Free People catalog.
I can't wait to go back, it was good to be next to the salty sea again.

Wander

It's funny to think that it was once considered unfashionable to wear navy and black together, or black and brown together. Well in this outfit I'm wearing all three of those colors together, and to be honest, it's one of my favorite color combination to do with clothes. Black and brown compliment each other really well I think and look chic.
BREAKING THE FASHION RULES, ONE OUTFIT AT A TIME!
There are so many beautiful locations in the Northwest and I always love showing them off a bit in my photos. I've had such an itch to adventure and be outdoors lately, so it's nice to be able to mesh fashion and nature together.

A Rolling Stone

I just love how casual and cool overalls are. I feel so interesting and even more adventurous when I wear them, as though I could wear them for several days and travel. They're the perfect piece to dress up or down. In this case I dressed them down a lot to create a really low key, casual look. I like letting one of the shoulder pieces hang to show off the shirt a little more.
I can't wait to wear these in the warmer weather too!

Trillium Lake

Here are the rest of the images that were taken when my boyfriend and I went to Trillium Lake. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. The water was frozen solid, so you could see Mt. Hood's reflection on it. I have been loving exploring Oregon lately. There are so many beautiful spots so close.
Hope you all enjoy your day!

Burn

(Flannel: Bridge & Burn, Shirt: Bridge & Burn, Boots: Vintage)

There's just nothing better than a good flannel shirt. They're perfect for layering or worn by themselves of course. This one from Bridge & Burn is definitely my favorite one I've ever owned. I love the simple colors and the fact that it is soo soft. Bridge & Burn has some really great graphic tees too, including this one that says 'Burn'.
I started up school again this week and I am all about being comfortable, especially when I have to wake up early.

Off the Wall

(Top: Thrifted, Scarf: Vintage, Shoes: Vans)

There's just something about Mondays that makes me want to dress a little more casual. I recently tried something new and got a pair of Vans! I really love the high top ones and I was surprised how well I've been able to fit them in with my style. New year, time to try some new things! That's something I love about fashion, is the ability to try so many different things and then decide if it's you or not. I definitely see myself wearing these for awhile.

Touch Zero Gravity

I've just received the most perfect phone case ever thanks to Touch Zero Gravity! In 2014, I really want to explore as many places in the Northwest as I can and having this phone case is like a daily reminder for me to do so. It makes me want to pack my bags and go somewhere I've never been before. This year I've already gone to one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, Trillium Lake. The last photo I took there with the reflection of Mt. Hood on the frozen lake. It was incredible.
