In Check

I'm all about comfort while still being stylish these days. Jumpsuits and rompers are the perfect go-to, "want to be comfortable but still cute" piece. This one is really great for those busy days on the go, that are going to be really long because seriously it's just so comfy...I feel like I'm in my PJs! I dressed it up a little more with a just my heeled black boots, just to make the look a little more feminine.
Well I'm off to bed! I had a great day hiking around Mt. Hood but it kicked my butt, so I'm ready to call it an early night. Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend too!

Sorry for the little bit of absence here! It's been few days with school starting up again and I recently got promoted at work! So busy has been a good thing but I've also been appreciating my free time and actually taking it to relax. I've been also taking the free time to try and get inspired.
As I've mentioned in my previous posts, I've been really drawn to the minimalistic style. I love having some really great, favorite pieces that interchange well with everything in my closet. What do you guys think of it? There's just nothing like a cohesive closet, I think!

Something that really inspires me is exploring my city, Portland. It's such a cool city to walk around and see where the street will take you. I've seen this wall a couple of times and have been dying to take photos in front of it and I finally did! I thought it would be the perfect against this edgy, black body suit. I've been wearing so much black lately! Which is definitely a bit of a change since I used to wear so much color. But I love the simplicity of a black outfit and the ability to mix and match with my ivory, white, and navy pieces so well. Even if you don't wear color all the time, you can always surround yourself with it!

NYFW

So you're going to NYFW for the first time EVER. What do you wear?!?
That's definitely the first thing that comes to my mind when dreaming about going to NYFW.
Nothing would be a more ideal accessory than a classic Chanel bag. Am I right? It's simple and it's timeless. Which makes it the perfect piece for me to build my dream fashion week look from. But if you're a student like me, having this dream outfit is almost nearly impossible. Luckily, Union & Fifth is there to make even more fashion lovers' dreams a reality! Union & Fifth is a non profit that sells used designer pieces and gives 100% of the proceeds to charity. Not only do you have the chance to own a piece of clothes of your dreams (like the drool worthy Chanel bag) but you are also doing it for such a great cause. And that's really the way it should be.
Hope to see you guys at NYFW! (fingers crossed)

Make sure and check out the great things happening at Union & Fifth, and help send me to NYFW for the first time by liking their page!!

The Moptop x New Balance (Part Two)

My second look featuring my 574 New Balance design collaboration! What do you guys think of the Moptop 574s? I used to be so against the whole tennis shoe trend. I thought it wasn't for me until I actually tried it! Now I have about 4 pairs of tennis shoes that are great for my long days of work and school and they are so comfortable (while remaining stylish too!).
These colder months have me wearing so much black, white, grey and tans so it's nice to have a shoe that adds some color!

Hope you're all enjoying your week so far! It's been so cold but so sunny and beautiful here, so of course I took this little bit of sun as an excuse to break out my dresses again. It can really be so hard to dress during the winter, but I guess the tights will have to do to mix it up a bit! Plaid always seems to make things look a little warmer too doesn't it? I love wearing plaid during the fall and winter. The back of the dress is probably my favorite too, it's so unexpected!

Salty Air

Photos taken from our trip to Pacific City. Every time I go there I'm in awe of the beautiful natural colors of the rocks and all of the natural elements. It's so inspiring and not to mention the perfect background to take photos!
Even though it was so cold when we went, being at the ocean on a sunny day just made me so excited for summer. I can't wait to wear my tanks and tops with cutoffs, but for now I'll just have to layer. Isn't this tank perfect though? I love the vintage, victorian feel it has to it but still super modern. I'm still such a sucker for lace!
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a fun weekend!

The Moptop x New Balance 574s

I'm so, so, SO excited to finally share a collaboration I've been working on with New Balance! New Balance asked me to design my own custom Moptop 574s and here is the design!! I chose simple neutral colors as well as a classic pop of color for the look. I love maroon and think it's such a great and classic color and makes the shoe pop from the rest of the outfit.
Check out the interview I did with New Balance here to find out more behind the shoe! You can even buy my custom 574s or design your own!
I'm still in total shock and feel so lucky to have this opportunity.
Thanks so much New Balance!

Colder Days

IMG_7381 IMG_7392 IMG_7333 IMG_7408 IMG_7412
These colder days here in Portland have me bundled up! I feel like the only thing I've been wearing this winter season are oversized coats and I love it! There's nothing like a statement coat to make an outfit or at least pull it all together.
Is anyone else loving pastels and pale hues this time of the year too? I think pastels are perfect for winter as well as spring. There's just something so peaceful and chic about lighter colors for winter.
