Child of the 90s

There's just something about this outfit that has such a 90s vibe to it that I'm all about. Maybe it's the mock neck, ribbed material, the washed denim, and the tennis shoes. But the combination of it all makes me feel like I'm back in '97 again.
It was SO cold, and SO windy yesterday in Portland which was SO frustrating because all I wanted to do was take blog photos and actually have a good productive day. I got really mad and worked up about it, but someone reminded me "Don't get worried or frustrated over things you can't control". And it was really exactly what I needed. It's so strange how something can seem like such a big deal in the moment, but when you take a step back it's a lot smaller then you think.
I'm blabbing. Anyways, I hope you all are enjoying the week so far and staying warmer than me!

Heading Home

Does anyone else love stopping at view points or pretty places when on a road trip? When I was younger, one of my uncles and I went on a little four hour road trip and we stopped at every single view point/monument on the way. Ever since, I try and stop as much as I can (if I'm not in a hurry at least). Well this time was so worth it.
I saw these beautiful orange leave trees that were in perfect rows and I knew I had to stop. It felt like an Autumn dream. I just wanted to run down to the other side to see where it would lead.
This was just a reminder for me to stop and smell the roses and to sometimes stop and see where the road will take me.

Favorite Sweater

Hey everyone, meet my favorite sweater. You can ask all the girls at work, I wear this thing a couple times a week. It's seriously the perfect, cozy, turtleneck ever. It goes great with all my jeans and tennis shoes, which in all creates the ideal "I'm ready for school and to be as comfy as possible, but I want to look like I didn't just completely rolled out of bed" look.
This sweater also started my obsession with turtlenecks...it's getting a bit out of hand.

Fall, I never realized how much I missed you.
Here are some photos that have me even more inspired for the colder months.
Happy Thursday!

Country Fields

I'm back from visiting my dad's, and saying I miss it so much would be a complete understatement. I wish I was still there gazing out over the wheat fields and drinking coffee in the hammock.
There's no better piece of clothing to fit the scene than a pair of overalls. I felt like a true country girl jumping through the weeds and tall grass.
I'll be counting down the days until I go back.
