Staying True

When you love how something looks, wear it! That's how I feel about black jeans. They're without a doubt my main staple for my wardrobe. These jeans from Talley NYC are perfect for my collection. The stripe up the side is probably my favorite part, and differentiates them from my other black jeans.
Hope you're all enjoying the new year so far! I started doing the month squat challenge (I want to get back in shape/start feeling better and more energetic) and my legs are soooo sore. But hopefully worth it in the end!

Girls Online

A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of being a part of a film project, along with Michelle of Hummingbird High, for fellow blogger Eva along with some of her classmates. It was really cool being able to discuss some of the perks and struggles of being a blogger. I was really nervous but I thought it turned out SO good! Best of luck to Eva and everyone who made the film, I think the class is going to love it! And thanks again for letting me be a part of it!
Let me know what you guys think of it too! :)

Day Trip: St. John's Bridge

IMG_2863 IMG_2872 IMG_2866 St. Johns Bridge, Portland OR
Last week, my boyfriend and I had a spontaneous day trip to this beautiful park right under the St. John's Bridge. I've seen so many photos of it so I had been dying to go and check it out and it was just as magical as I had imagined. If you're ever in the Portland area, I recommend a trip here!
I brought along my trusty Surf Burro blanket to make my hipster photo dreams come true. Does anyone else just want to hit the road for a road trip when you see one of these blankets? I don't know why but they just scream adventure and traveling to me.
Happy Monday everyone!

#NastyGalsAboutTown Part 3 Portland

IMG_5035 IMG_5075 IMG_5132 IMG_5129 IMG_5106
Last part of my #NastyGalsAboutTown series! I saved my two favorites for last: Pips Donuts and Mississippi Street. Pips Donuts is the cutest little donut shop in Portland, I think. My favorite donut there, the Dirty Wu, is covered in Nutella, Cinnamon and Sugar, and honey...it's heavenly. And they have lots of different house made chai's!
Mississippi street is one of my favorite spots to walk around. There's a nursery on the street called Pistils and it is an absolute must! The first concert I ever went to in Portland was on Mississippi street...and I saw Washed Out there for the first time! So you can see why I love it so much ;)
I hope you all enjoyed my favorite spots in Portland! I have only been here for 2 years now so I still have lots of exploring left in the city myself!

Country Fields

I'm back from visiting my dad's, and saying I miss it so much would be a complete understatement. I wish I was still there gazing out over the wheat fields and drinking coffee in the hammock.
There's no better piece of clothing to fit the scene than a pair of overalls. I felt like a true country girl jumping through the weeds and tall grass.
I'll be counting down the days until I go back.
