Quickie.

Just a few things that I found at some thrift stores around town. :)
I love the polka dot top, it's so fun and I'm obsessed with the bow tie. I know it's going to be one of my new favorite things to wear.
Life has been insane lately. There are so many changes that are occurring in my life, and they are all happening so fast. I've been doing things to get my mind off of them and I am happy to say it is working. There is a time when you know it's time to move on with your life and I feel it is the time.
Enough O that. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! And remember to enter my giveaway!!
Also, Listen to my new song obsession.

Blowin In the Wind

(Hat: Forever21, Dress: Market HQ Brand: MinkPink, Boots: Sears)

Well here it is, the very first post featuring photos taken by one of my very talented friends, Emma Vidmar. No photoshop used just readjusting of the colors and contrast. She is extremely artistic and talented, and I love how the photos turned out. I love the vintage feel to the photos, and I promise there are more photos to come! Check out more photography by Emma at her blog, Freckled Shoulders.
Thanks again Emma!! :)
As far as my life right now, I'm getting really excited to move into my new room downstairs! My older sister moved out, so I get her old room and it's double the size of my room now. I cannot wait to have my own new space to decorate. Hopefully I will have photos to show once it's all done!

I love GiGi Vintage! + Giveaway!

Some very exciting stuff in this post. First off...aren't my shorts so sweet?! I love the fringe that was added on the front of these, and they fit me perfectly! I may have officially fallen in love with Levi cutoffs. Thank you so much GiGi Vintage! I also finally found myself a pair of wedge booties that I have been wanting forever. I've seen them all over the blogging world and I couldn't wait to get a pair for myself. They'll take some getting used to though, I always feel so tall wearing them. But I guess they're worth it.
Also...GiGi Vintage is also giving one of The Moptop's lovely readers an adorable peace sign pendant necklace!

Dark Dots

(Jacket: Obey from Zumiez, Crop Top: Forever21, Dress: Thrifted, Shoes: Wanted)

I could seriously kiss the feet of the person who designed this polka dot dress. It it perfect for layering or wearing alone, but it it definitely my favorite thing in my closet. So I'm very pleased to show it off again. When I went to the coast last week with the family, I picked this amazing new jacket! I fell in love the instant I saw it. I might be looking forward to fall a little more now that I have it :)
Sorry for the delay on the giveaway! But I want to do an outfit for the post as well..so it'll be up next time!! Thanks again for all of your guys' lovely support while I'm going through this break up. You are all amazing and I am so thankful to have you all as readers!

Ocean Vacation Part 2

More photos from my trip to the beach, and I am finally home :) So I will be back to posting like normal.  I had a wonderful time at the ocean with my family. I ate so much clam chowder and marion berry cobler, drove bumper cars, rode the tilt-a-whirl (got way too dizzy), shopped til I dropped, made sand castles and puzzles, rode bikes on the wet sand, roasted marshmallows for smores on the beach, and had way too much fun with my family! It was really a much needed vacation. From recent events in my life, my boyfriend and I of 2 years decided it was best to split up. I don't really know what the future has to hold, but Im just taking the days as they come. Maybe the ocean really does help a broken heart. But enough of the sad stuff! Make sure to check in tomorrow...giveaway time!! :)

Ocean Vacation Part 1

1. Starfish from the Aquarium my little brother and I visited.
2. My new favorite travel backpack/purse
3. Sandy beach feet
4. My little brother and I building sandcastles
5. Ocean Sunset :)

More photos to come eventually! The poor internet connection here at McDonalds made this post sort of weak. But I promise you I have found some great things to show you guys soon! I can't wait to see all of your posts when I get back but I am enjoying the beach while I'm here :)

To the Sea Side

(Any questions about where I got any of these items, email me!)

Well Im off to the coast! I will be spending an entire week soaking up all of the wonders of the ocean & I am beyond exited. It's been 2 years since I've smelled the salty air and heard the crashing of the waves. Depending on wether or not I will have internet access, I might be taking a week off from blogging as well. But I am hoping I will be able to show some photos while I'm away.
I surprisingly packed very light compared to how I usually pack when I travel. But I thought of outfits ahead of time in order to make it easier. It's sort of unpredictable of what the weather will be like by the ocean so I packed for hot & chilly.
I also did a little outfit layout of what I will be wearing one of the days that it is warm. I love my new necklace from forever 21 and only 6 bucks!! Well I hope to post again soon :)

Featherly

(Hat: Forever21, Top: Vintage from Mom, Belt: Thrifted, Skirt: American Apparel, Boots: Sears)

Have I ever said how much I love getting old clothes from family members? It's one of the best things ever...that's for sure! This is probably my favorite vintage item I've gotten from my mom. I love the little feather print, very fun to wear :)
I'm leaving for the coast this Friday and I cannot wait! I love the ocean. The smell, the sound of the waves, the cute stores, and of course the yummy food! It's going to be a great time and it'll be nice to get away from here for awhile.
Today my super talented friend took some amazing photos of me!
I had a blast and I can't wait to show you guys how they turned out :)
The days are making this rough time easier to get over. My heart has been broken, but with time it will heal. My chin is still up to the sky. Thank you to all you of you wonderful people for the support. You guys help more than you think!

Times They Are a Changing

(Hat: Vintage, Dress: Nasty Gal, Belt: Thrifted, Skirt: Thrifted, Skirt: Thrifted)

Times they are a changing, that's for sure. Im slowing adjusting to the changes that are occurring in my life. Though at times they can be hard, it'll all pass with time.
As for my outfit, this is one of the combinations I made with the Nasty Gal dress I did a post about awhile back. The dress is somewhat unflattering around the waist area, so of course I added a skirt and belt to it ;) The detailing of the dress is very beautiful though, I think. I love the vintage look to it. And Im also happy to show of my Vintage Stetson hat again...it's one of my favorites!
And of course the winner of the ShopNBC bracelet....
Thanks for all of you who entered. And I will be hosting another giveaway very soon! ;)

It All Will Fall, Fall Right Into Place.

Just some of my favorite photos from my tumblr. I've been so busy trying to keep my mind off of things that I just haven't had much time for blogging. Im so sorry and I assure you a new outfit post will be up tomorrow, along with the winner of the ShopNBC bracelet!
