Tropics

Gosh, I've been the worst blogger lately. I've just been busy working so much these past couple of days that I almost forgot to post!
Tropical prints seem to be everywhere lately. I thought I would try them out for myself. They make me long for a sunny, sandy getaway (with a margarita in hand of course).
These shoes have been so wonderful to me. I have really flat feet so it's nice to give them a break and wear something super comfortable!

Paint it Black

This is my typical go to, shorts and tee, outfit. I've had this tee for awhile now and I've worn it so much that it's faded and has little holes so it looks like an authentic vintage tee! I'm happy to have found the perfect pair of black shorts for this summer too. Black denim is pretty much my favorite thing ever.
Well I'm off to go get my hair cut and colored finally! I can't wait to get the old mop trimmed up :)
Hope you're all having a great week!

Navy

Lately, I've been loving monochromatic outfits. Blue has been one of my favorite colors to wear lately, so all blue? Yes Please! These shorts are the comfiest ever. Bridge & Burn never fails to impress me.
I used to be so skeptical about the whole New Balance trend that's been going on lately. But when I bought my ticket to NYC, I realized how much I will be walking so I wanted some comfortable but still fashionable shoes. And I am so glad that I changed my mind and got a pair! I LOVE THEM.

Days Are Gone

I'm going to be honest, lately most of my outfits have been consisting of cutoffs and a comfy tee. I don't know if it's the warmer weather or being busy with school...but I just love throwing on a tee and shorts. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't post my casual, everyday outfits on here because it might not be "blogging material" but I think it's more real to share them with you guys. There's just those days of the week where I just want to keep it simple!
These 501s are going to be part of my uniform for the rest of the summer. If you don't have a pair...get em!

Life as Always

I feel like posting my recent Instagram photos is just an excuse for me to explain how busy I've been. It's finals week at school which means that I have reluctantly been putting off taking blog photos. I can't wait to get back into the swing of things again like always. Even though things have been busy, I've been able to enjoy the amazing weather the past couple of weeks. Bike rides, hikes, soaking up the sun, drinks with friends...there's just something really wonderful about Summer time in Portland.

I'm never to busy to Instagram though ;)

Tied Up

Another casual summer outfit. It's finally starting to be consistently sunny and beautiful here, there's just nothing like summertime in Portland. I'm starting to fall in love even more with the sneaker trend. I've always preferred dressing casual (even though I love myself a cute dress), but there's just something great about wearing your tennis shoes and while still looking put together and fashionable.

Exciting News!

I know it's still kind of far away, but I am so excited that I will be visiting New York City for the first time at the end of July! My friend Emma (from Smile Me Pretty) is interning for Martha Stewart this summer (so impressive) so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to visit her and the beautiful city. I would love any tips or suggestions of places to go while I'm there from you guys!

Backyard

Snapped these photos yesterday while wandering the beautiful streets of Southeast Portland. I love this time of the year in Portland. All the flowers are blooming and everything is green (from the 8 months of straight rain lol). I've gotten a few questions about what I would wear on a night going out. I'm not really one to dress up too much, growing up in the Northwest I think made my style pretty casual, and laid back. But there's just nothing like a black dress to spark that confidence and feel beautiful in. I love the simple design of this dress from Black Swan. The little cutout is the perfect unique touch for me.
And to add a little more funk, I love wearing my printed Jeffrey's ;)

Baby Blue

A simple dress is basically my go-to for a Spring/Summer outfit.
I love the embroidery detailing on this dress too, it looks like it could be vintage! I've been wearing a lot of blue lately and I can't really put my finger on why. I think it's just one of those colors that looks great on everyone.
Hope you're all having a great week so far!
