Exciting News!

I know it's still kind of far away, but I am so excited that I will be visiting New York City for the first time at the end of July! My friend Emma (from Smile Me Pretty) is interning for Martha Stewart this summer (so impressive) so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to visit her and the beautiful city. I would love any tips or suggestions of places to go while I'm there from you guys!

  1. Ooo so exciting Tonya! You will enjoy that city. Of course you have to go to Shake Shack while you are there. I've wanted to visit Grey Dog boutique (but haven't yet), and 230 Fifth is a cool rooftop bar (go at night!).

  3. Momofuku and Milk are must sees! You need to get the crack pie and the mushroom buns, they're to die for.

  4. Have fun! NYC is great (I live here) and there are so much great places to see. If you want to steer away from crowds, go to the East Village - there are some great restaurants there, mainly Japanese cuisine though, and great boutiques/thrift stores that you find on every street. I also suggest going to the West Village, the streets are so beautiful (rows of townhouses with gardens in the front) and there are great little cafes. In the West Village, you can head down to Chelsea Market where there are many restaurants to select from and souvenirs you can buy.
Of course, you should go to Central Park - it is so great to go there on hot summer days and drink cool ice tea or have take out sushi while sitting in the grass listening to music (there are many random performances).
    Have fun!
