Portland Fashion Week - Spring Edition

I was lucky enough to attend Portland Fashion Week (Spring Edition) as part of the Portland Fashion Week Style Collective. This granted me front row access to all of the shows as well as a look into a bit of the behind the scenes action that was going on. It was such a great experience and inspiring to meet other bloggers as well as see some great fashion from Portland!
Some of the shows I got to see were Columbia Sportswear, Brady Lange, Hello Eliza, Kate Troedsson, and many more. Many spring trends were noticeable on the runway including lots of white, matching sets, monochromatic, and 90s revival. I loved that an iPhone was used as an accessory for the Brady Lange show too! All in all it was such a cool experience and I can't wait to attend again!

Thank you so much to Portland Fashion Week for letting me be a part of the Style Collective!

One of the most important things about style and personal style is not being afraid to try new things. Get inspired by others and then make it your own. I've been exploring different things with my style lately and it's such a great feeling. It can be a little scary at first, especially when there's a blog involved, because it may seem out of the ordinary. People change and grow and with that so does their style, and I think lately I'm going through a little bit of that. When it ultimately comes down to it, you just have to dress for you and not worry about who's going to like it or not.
I really love the idea of wearing garments of different lengths, such as cropped tops with longer jackets. It's been everywhere and I can't help but get inspired but it. And mom jeans.

Free People Comes to Portland!

It was pretty much a dream of mine to be able to participate in the FPME photo shoot when Free People decided to come to Portland! It was so much fun exploring my favorite city with other stylish and inspiring girls. We all have a love for Free People so it was really cool to see how they wore the brand too. It was just one of those days that went to perfectly.

Up Against the Wall

I'm a sucker for funky prints. I love statement pieces like this dress and then paring it with a mix of textures such as leather. I plan on wearing this outfit to one of the nights of Portland Fashion Week, which starts tomorrow! I will be going to all 3 nights of the show and will be sharing the experience with you all after. I can't wait to see what Portland has in store, it's always inspiring to see the great things that are happening in my own city.

I was getting a little goofy with it in these outfit photos because it started to rain! Portland always has it's own agenda with the weather. It doesn't care if I have photos I want to take which can be frustrating sometimes but I think it's best to just embrace it as much as possible.
I've been a tad bit obsessed with rompers lately. I think they're so flirty and cool, and are a nice switch up from a dress. This Stone Cold Fox romper is a dream come true. It's floral, has lace trim, and a sexy drop back which makes it perfect for the summer months too. I wanted to make it a bit edgier and what's the best way to do that? Just add leather.

Bare Bones

I've been really inspired lately by minimalistic style. I've been trying to incorporate it more into my style lately and I love it. I've bought so many basics lately, but I never realized how many basics were missing from my wardrobe. I think it's important to have those staple pieces to build outfits off of.
Has anyone else been obsessed with all the ripped jeans lately? I've really been wanting a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans but I had a hard time finding the perfect pair. So I bought some vintage jeans and ripped them up myself! They turned out exactly how I wanted them too. I'm even thinking about making some to sell in my shop...
I'm also really excited about my blog's little makeover! What do you guys think of it? I love it!
